Estadi Mallorca Son Moix The roof extends over the Sol stand, a section where the weather matters most to the players warming up on the pitch below.

LED grow lights are visible along the edges of the field, tucked into the darkness when the sun goes down, keeping the grass alive through the winter months.

The renovation finished last year, and the changes are plain to see. The athletics track that once ringed the pitch is gone, replaced by a closer, lower tier of seating that brings the crowd nearer to the action. The capacity swelled with the addition, and the new configuration makes the ground feel tighter, more intimate than the older, wider design.

On match days, the atmosphere tightens. The crowd roars them on when the home side pushes forward, and the noise bounces off the curved roof above.
