The Original Wetherby Road facility opened in 1920, but the football ground that followed in 1932 is the one that matters now. The club built the Main Stand in 1990, but the real transformation came later. When Harrogate Town earned promotion to the English Football League (EFL) in 2020, they had to meet strict requirements. The club replaced a 350-seat stand with the new Family Stand, adding a concourse and food outlets to reach the 2,000 seated places required. That completed the covered accommodation on all four sides: the Main Stand, Hospital End, EnviroVent Stand, and Venue End. The surface changed too; they removed a 3G artificial pitch in 2020 to return to natural grass. In April 2018, planning permission was granted for a major expansion designed by Bowman Riley Architects, including a new two-storey clubhouse and seated terraces. The club continued upgrading, adding nearly 1,000 seats in the South Stand in 2024. The stadium has not hosted major tournaments or concerts, and the official attendance record of 4,280 dates back to the 1949-50 Whitworth Cup Final against Harrogate Railway. Recent attention focused on the FA Cup First Round match against Wrexham in 2024, broadcast live on ITV, and the replay against Leeds United in 2025. The ground is now known as the Marcy Fitness Stadium after a rebranding in June 2026, following previous names including CNG Stadium and EnviroVent Stadium.
