Markku.fi Areena
The ground at Käskynhaltijantie 11 began as something else entirely: Finland's first horse-racing track stood here until the course moved to Käpylä in 1927, and the sports field that replaced it opened in 1934 as an athletics arena on grass. Football came later, and with it a sequence of names that has changed roughly once a decade — Oulunkylän liikuntapuiston kenttä, then Fair Pay Areena from 2006, Mustapekka Areena from 2017, and Markku.fi Areena since 2026.
Underfloor heating went in with the artificial surface in 2006. The turf has been replaced three times since: in 2017, in 2023, and again after the fire of 13 July 2024, which took out the stand.
Capacity sat at about 1,100 until February 2024, when it went up to 2,200. A new temporary stand, put up in April 2025 to replace what the fire destroyed, brought it to roughly 2,700. The arena's attendance record came three months after that stand opened: 3,113 on 28 July 2025, for IF Gnistan against HJK Helsinki in the Veikkausliiga.
Ownership shifted in 2017, when the field passed to the club; the stand itself dates from a 2010 rebuild, the last significant work before the fire.
