Městský stadion Králův Dvůr

The pitch at Plzeňská 153 belongs to a club whose football roots go back further than the concrete around it — Králův Dvůr's students were kicking a ball about from 1912, and by 1914 the town had a proper side under the name Litavan Karlova Hut. The stadium itself came later, built from 1957 on ground behind the local Sokol hall.

FK Králův Dvůr now play their football here in the 3. česká fotbalová liga, the country's third tier, a level the club has occupied before — they were already competing in this division back in 2014, under its old name. The reserve side, FK Králův Dvůr B, uses the same ground for its own fixtures.

Capacity is where the record gets untidy: current listings put the ground at 2,500, though older figures on record run as high as 5,000. The playing surface itself is straightforward — natural grass, save for a small secondary training pitch mentioned in passing years ago.

What Králův Dvůr offers, in the end, is the ordinary shape of Czech regional football.
