The Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu is located in Kokurakita Ward. The structure itself is defined by its functional design; the southern end is a solid, white block with a sloping roof, while the northern end is defined by a skeletal, open steel framework that looks ready to catch the wind rolling off the Kanmon Straits.

The pitch lies between these two distinct faces. The grass is green and undisturbed, marked with the white lines of both football and rugby, indicating a space that has learned to share its identity. The stands are not high, but the rows are steep, pulling the crowd down towards the action. On match days, the yellow cladding on one side of the building turns vibrant, a splash of colour against the grey concrete.

The ground has hosted international rugby, bringing the Welsh national team to its shores for a public training session that filled every seat.
