Stadium
MKM Stadium
Formerly: KC Stadium, KCOM Stadium
The ground on Walton Street has answered to three names in twenty-odd years. It opened as the KC Stadium in December 2002, became the KCOM Stadium in 2016, and has been the MKM Stadium since June 2021.
Hull City moved in at the opening; a year later Hull F.C. In May and June 2024 the surface was taken up entirely and relaid as a hybrid — County Turf HERO — at a cost of £1.5m.
On 17 February 2004, 25,280 came for England against the Netherlands at under-21 level, a figure that sits above the current listed capacity of 24,983 and has stood untouched since.
Between fixtures the place has worked as a concert venue — Elton John, The Who, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, R.E.M., Rihanna.
