The Estadi de Montilivi is not defined by its age, though it has been open since August 14, 1970. Its character comes from what it has become. The pitch is currently covered in hybrid turf. The surface is a blend of natural grass and artificial fibres, installed in 2017.

The ground is modest in size. The card lists a capacity of 14,624, but the number has always been elastic. For a Champions League fixture in the 2024/25 season, the limit was set back to 9,282, effectively returning the arena to its pre-promotion dimensions. The attendance record of 14,158, set during a Copa del Rey quarter-final against Real Madrid on January 31, 2019, sits just below the permanent limit.

Girona FC has played here since 1970, having moved from Camp de Vista Alegre. The club’s home is now owned by the Girona City Council. The pitch itself has hosted several international friendlies, including matches involving Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago, but the stadium did not host any games during the 1982 FIFA World Cup. The address is Avinguda de Montilivi, 141. The club’s website is gironafc.cat; the stadium has no separate online presence.
