Moor Lane

Formerly: Peninsula Stadium

The ground on Moor Lane was a rugby address long before it was a football one. Manchester's rugby club played there from 1908 to 1969. Salford City moved in in 1978, and for most of the years that followed there was a single main stand.

That changed over twelve months from October 2016. Stands went up on each side of the pitch, all of them roofed, adding 2,246 seats and taking the capacity from 1,600 to more than 5,000. The turf was relaid, and the South Stand was rebuilt inside to give the players and the hospitality guests proper rooms. The work was aimed at a target the club had set itself: Football League status by 2020. Sir Алекс Фергюсон cut the ribbon at the official reopening on 19 October 2017.

The sponsorship arrived with the rebuild.

The attendance record has moved twice in recent years.

England C and Wales C drew 2–2 here on 19 March 2019. FC United of Manchester use the ground regularly, for friendlies and local cup ties.
