MSH Ostende

The MSH Ostende sits at the centre of a sports complex in Poděbrady. The hall is new — the complex opened in 2023 after a long stretch of work — and its role is straightforward: it hosts basketball and aerobic events for a community that has already had its ice rink and football ground sorted.

The address is Na Vinici 776, tucked into the Sportovní areál HC Poděbrady Ostende, where the ice stadium and the football pitch also live. Nothing flashy about the location — just a functional cluster of venues serving local teams.

Inside, the capacity is 350 — small enough that a full house feels like the whole town has turned out. The surface is not publicly specified, but the hall does its job: it holds games, it holds classes, it does not try to be anything more. There are no former names to untangle; it has always been MSH Ostende, or part of the Ostende complex, and it was built to fill a gap that had existed for years.

The sports hall does not compete with that history; it simply sits beside it, waiting for the next match or the next session to begin.
