Mubarak Al-Aiar Stadium

What plays now as the Mubarak Al-Aiar Stadium began life tied to Al-Shabab, the youth club whose full title still trails the arena in official listings — Al-Shabab Mubarak Al-Aiar Stadium.

Opened in 1966, it predates most of the stadiums Kuwaiti clubs now play in, and it has kept its identity through the decades without the renovations or expansions that reshape so many older grounds elsewhere in the Gulf.

Al-Jahra SC calls it home, and the club's Premier League fixtures make up the bulk of what happens here — no cup finals, no international fixtures, nothing beyond the domestic calendar. The pitch is natural grass, kept to a modest capacity of 17,000, numbers that place it comfortably among Kuwait's second tier of venues rather than its showcase arenas in the capital.
