Formerly: Central Stadium named after Makhash Bekmukhambetov
The pitch at Munaishy has been played on since 1 May 1950. It sits in the central part of the city, on Mukhtar Auezov Avenue.
The ground that opened in 1950 is not the ground you walk into now. In 1999 it went through a full reconstruction: major repairs across the site, plus a new sports complex building put up alongside.
The surface is artificial. The current covering is a latest-generation synthetic pitch, laid in March 2019.
The address is worth knowing for anyone arriving by taxi — Mukhtar Auezov Avenue, 28a. Drivers who have been in Atyrau a while may still need the old name.
