Municipal Los Chankas
Andahuaylas, Peru
Formerly: Estadio Municipal Nación Chanka
The ground sits on Avenida Perú. The stadium opened in 1989, funded by the Regional Government of Apurímac and the Provincial Municipality of Andahuaylas, at a cost of over 40 million Peruvian soles.
The pitch is natural grass. In late 2024 the club spent nearly 1.2 million soles on a complete renovation of the irrigation system, installing a 60 cubic metre cistern and 60 high-pressure sprinklers to meet the standards of Liga 1. Club Deportivo Los Chankas play their home games here after securing promotion in the 2023/2024 season. They beat Alianza Universidad on penalties in the Liga 2 Promotion Playoffs final to reach this level.
The capacity is currently 10,000, but the South Stand is under construction. The Regional Government of Apurímac is building it to increase the total to 14,000, with an inauguration scheduled for mid-2026. On November 3, 2024, the stadium hosted a decisive match against Universitario de Deportes in the Torneo Clausura. Nearly all 10,000 tickets were sold, and an estimated 5,000 fans from Lima travelled down from the capital.
The venue is not exclusive to Los Chankas. It has also hosted international friendlies against Bolivian clubs Real Santa Cruz and Always Ready.
