What makes this ground different from the identical one down the road is not its age, but what happened to it. The pitch is artificial turf, green and flat, with white lines that are sharp against the colour. Just the wood, the concrete, and the fans.

The fire that destroyed the original grandstand in July 2024 changed everything. IF Gnistan had to relocate their home matches while a temporary structure was built. It holds 1,400 people and was essential for the club to return to their own patch. The team, promoted to the Veikkausliiga , needed this ground back.

The city of Helsinki built this place for everyone, not just for one club. Now that IF Gnistan owns it, they shape it for their needs. The surface was upgraded with lighting and irrigation in 2024 to meet the demands of the top flight.

The attendance record was set in July 2025, when 3,113 people watched a match against HJK Helsinki. The ground is ordinary in appearance, but not in feeling.
