Namfua Stadium

Namfua Stadium has carried three names since it opened in Singida in 2002, and the changes track the ground's own shifting allegiances: it started as the Namfua Football Ground, became Liti Stadium, then took on the CCM prefix tying it to the ruling party's local branch. That kind of rebranding is common enough at grounds run through party or district structures in Tanzania, but it leaves a paper trail that still confuses which name turns up on a given team sheet.

The pitch is artificial turf, a detail several databases got wrong for years by listing it as grass — a mix-up that tends to happen with grounds outside the country's better-documented top flight. Singida itself sits in the country's dry central plateau, and artificial surfaces have become the practical answer for towns without the water or maintenance budget to keep natural grass through the season.

Three clubs share the 10,000-capacity ground: Singida United, Fountain Gate and Singida Black Stars. For a town of Singida's size, hosting three sides out of one stadium on B 141 makes Namfua less a single club's home than the fixed point of the local football calendar, whoever is playing.
