National Stadium Ta' Qali
The Millennium Stand is the only part of the National Stadium Ta' Qali that truly holds weight. That was the piece they built to replace the East Stand in 2002, and it has kept the stadium on its feet ever since.
They pulled up the old grass in 2016 and laid down a SIS Grass Hybrid system so the surface could handle the demands of European football.
Hamrun Spartans have used it as a base, but they are not the only ones. Valletta FC and Marsaxlokk FC come here when the fixtures get tough, and the national team has played its part here since the turn of the millennium.
