Netanya Stadium
Netanya, Israel
Netanya Stadium is the permanent home of Maccabi Netanya. The pitch is natural grass. The stadium has hosted international fixtures, including a semi-final of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship and several Israel national team games, but the primary use remains domestic football. The official name is Miriam Stadium, after a major donor, while locals still refer to it by its common title. The seats are blue and the advertising boards along the touchline are red, creating a simple, uncluttered view from the stands. The building’s exterior is straightforward, with large glass windows on the upper level and the Hebrew lettering above the main entrance. There is no cover for the supporters behind either goal, and the wind comes straight through the field from open ends. The capacity is roughly half of what was originally planned, the second phase of construction remaining unbuilt, which keeps the atmosphere intimate on evenings when the crowd is small.
