Nolhalla Ishall
Alingsås, Sweden
Formerly: Nolhalla Ishall, Nolhaga Ishall
The new Nolhalla Ishall opened on March 22, 2025, replacing the original 1984 structure.
The facility sits in the Nolhaga district at Nolhaga allé 10B. It is owned by the municipal housing company Alingsåshem, which manages the site rather than a dedicated sports trust. The playing surface is artificial ice, maintained by mechanical refrigeration, ensuring consistent conditions regardless of the outdoor weather in Alingsås.
Sörhaga/Alingsås Hockey uses the facility as their home ground. The arena hosted events such as the 2005 European BikeTrial Championship, showing its utility beyond standard ice hockey fixtures, though it now focuses squarely on the local team.
The original facility is no longer in use, leaving only this newer, quieter space. There is no official website for the arena itself; information is hosted on Alingsåshem's general site. This lack of a dedicated digital presence reinforces its status as a local, functional building rather than a commercial brand.
Nolhalla Ishall is not a landmark. It is a place where the local team plays, where the ice is kept cold, and where the crowd is close enough to hear the skates cut into the surface.
