OC Rēzekne Mākslīgais Laukums
Rēzekne, Latvia
Formerly: Sporta pārvaldes stadions
The ground at Stacijas iela 30b does not look like a place built for spectacle. OC Rēzekne Mākslīgais Laukums The facility opened in 2014, replacing the older Sporta pārvaldes stadions, though the new pitch is only one part of the Olympic Centre complex that has served the city since 2011.
The surface is synthetic. The capacity is 3,000. It is a working ground for Rēzekne FA and Rēzeknes/BJSS, who use it in the Latvian First League.
It is distinct from the natural grass venue used by SK Blāzma, which sits further up the road. There is no commercial branding to distract from the function of the pitch. The name OC Rēzekne is simply an abbreviation for the state-owned Olympic Centre.
