Ogres Stadions

Ogres Stadions in Ogre carries an official name — Ogre Municipality Sports Center. Opened in 1968, it has hosted the Rīgas Kausi athletics meeting, Latvian frisbee championships and karate tournaments, and in recent Augusts the running track and pitch have made way for a family music event, Putu Paradīze.

Football at Skolas iela 21 is a recent addition rather than a tradition: Ogre United, founded in 2022, plays its home fixtures on the natural grass here. The ground has no floodlights, so its calendar runs on daylight, and the running track that rings the pitch is a reminder that athletics, not football, built the place its reputation.

Capacity sits at around 1,250, modest even by regional standards, which suits a venue that has always served the town's broader sporting life rather than a single tenant.
