One Call Stadium
Football has been played on this ground since at least 1861, and by some accounts a decade earlier still — which makes the pitch off Quarry Lane the oldest in continuous use anywhere in the English professional pyramid.
The old name, Филд Милл, came from a textile mill that stood across the road. The mill was pulled down in 1925; the name outlasted the building by the better part of a century. The current title, Уан Колл Стэдиум, dates from April 2012.
The playing surface is natural grass, though not left to itself — it is periodically relaid and reinforced with specialist mixes, the kind of upkeep a pitch needs when it has been trodden for as long as this one has.
Since the war the tenants have been «Мансфилд Таун», and the ground has taken its shape from lower-division life rather than from cup runs or redevelopment. The capacity now sits at 10,022 — a figure set by the stands around it, not by ambition.
