Stadium
Orange Vélodrome
Formerly: Stade Vélodrome, Orange Vélodrome, CEPAC Vélodrome
The stands here rise almost straight up from the touchline, no running track, no gap.
The record for the place isn't a football one. It belongs to a concert by the rapper Jul in May 2025 — a reminder that Marseille turns out for the venue as much as for Olympique de Marseille.
Three major rebuilds mark its life: a modernisation for floodlit football at the turn of the 1970s, work ahead of the 1984 European Championship, then a bigger overhaul for the 1998 World Cup.
Olympique de Marseille remain the tenants, with the French national football and rugby teams occasional visitors and Toulon and Martigues having used the pitch for individual fixtures when their own grounds were unavailable.
