Orbital Fasteners Stadium
Kings Langley, United Kingdom
Formerly: Gaywood Park
Before that, Kings Langley FC moved between Home Park, Groomes Meadow and Blackwell Meadow, but the move to this site in March 1997 ended the wandering. It was named after Graham Gaywood, a benefactor who died shortly after its completion, and the name Gaywood Park stuck until Orbital Fasteners took over sponsorship in 2019. The club itself was founded in 1886, so the ground is the youngest thing on the premises.
What you see from the outside is a pitched surface with no undersoil heating, and the stands are simple. There are 274 seats in one block, with the rest of the capacity spread across terraces. The figures vary depending on who is counting, but the atmosphere does not depend on the numbers. Kings Langley is small enough that the stadium is part of the local fabric rather than a destination.
The move to Hempstead Road gave the club a fixed point, which matters more to supporters than any capacity figure.
