Palace of Sports "Halychyna"
Lviv, Ukraine
Formerly: Palace of Sports 'Budivelnyk' (collective name until 2008)
The Palace of Sports 'Halychyna' in Lviv is an indoor arena where the game is played on a floor of Canadian oak. Installed during a major renovation in 2008–2009, the hardwood floor is a key feature. The capacity sits at 1,350, a figure that has shifted over time as an open wall was converted into bleachers.
The complex itself comprises two buildings. The older 'Budivelnyk' hall opened in 1969. The newer 'Halychyna' hall followed in 1980, with sources offering slightly different dates for its opening, though the structure is firmly established. It sits in the Sychiv district, near the campus of the Lviv Polytechnic.
