Panasonic Stadium Suita

Panasonic Stadium Suita opened as the Suita City Football Stadium, funded largely through donations and public subsidy rather than a single corporate backer, before the current naming rights arrangement took effect on 1 January 2018. Yasui Architects & Engineers drew up the design, and Takenaka Corporation built it.

Gamba Osaka moved in for the 2016 season, leaving behind the Expo '70 Commemorative Stadium next door, a ground that had hosted the club for decades and still stands nearby as a reminder of where they used to play. The Japan national team has also used Suita for fixtures, drawn by a bowl that keeps the crowd close to the pitch and the noise inside it.

The stadium sits inside Expo '70 Commemorative Park, built for a World's Fair long before the ground itself existed, so match days there run alongside a park still shaped by that 1970 event. In February 2023, the south video board was replaced with a wider screen, nearly doubling in width from just over 11 metres to close to 22 — a small but visible upgrade to a stadium still under a decade old.
