Pantelis Magoulas Stadium

Volos, Greece

Formerly: I Klouva

The pitch at Pantelis Magoulas Stadium sits in the Nea Ionia district of Volos, a working-class quarter that has given its name to the ground itself. The club, Niki Volos, has not played every match here since the 2018–2019 renovation cycle began, opting for the larger Pantheatssaliko venue on occasion. The stadium is small by standard: the registered capacity for Super League 2 is 4,500 seats, though the actual usable space is far less. The structure has changed shape several times since it was opened in 1924. The original build was a community project by the refugee population of New Ionía, and the ground carried the nickname "I Klouva" — "The Cage" — long before it was officially renamed in honour of the club's first president. The stand on Maianandrou Street was restored during the recent works, but the most visible change was the switch from artificial to natural grass in August 2024, a move made to meet the league's requirements. The all-time record crowd of 6,000 spectators watched a local derby against Olympiakos Volos in 1983, a figure that remains unchallenged despite the current official limit. Construction on a new stand, or Gate 3, is scheduled to add 1,100 seats to the mix, but that work is not yet complete. The club's history is tied to this specific patch of earth, even if the team has drifted to other venues in search of better facilities or funding.
