Parekklisia Community Stadium

Parekklisia, Cyprus

The ground sits quietly in the village of Parekklisia, tucked between the local elementary school and the village center. It is not a landmark, but it is the centre of the community, owned by the Pareklisia Community Council and used by the local club, Enosis Neon Parekklisia FC. The club itself is a product of recent history, formed in 2006 from the merger of AMEP Parekklisia and ATE-PEK Parekklisias, though the older side had been using the facility long before that.

The pitch is natural grass, measuring roughly 64 metres by 104 metres. There is no grand history behind the structure; the exact year it was built is not established, and the architect remains unidentified. What is clear is the capacity. The stands hold 3,000 people, a number that has not changed. The highest attendance recorded here is that same 3,000, a full house that matches the total capacity, as specific match-by-match records are not publicly documented for this community venue.

The infrastructure is standard for the level. There are two spectator stands and two dressing rooms, with lighting rated as level 2 on the Visit Cyprus scale. The stadium is served by the Route 80 bus line.

It is currently the home for grassroots youth competitions. The final of the Grassroots Mikel U13 Eagles Championship took place here in May 2022, where Aris Limassol defeated AEL 3-1. Matches for the Pancyprian Youth Championship also use the ground, involving academies of major Limassol clubs like Apollon FC and Aris Limassol. A figure of 14,828 is sometimes associated with the club, but that refers to the attendance at the 2000–01 Cypriot Cup Final held at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia, not at Parekklisia.
