Park Avenue
The turnstiles are still there, bricked up in the wall along Park Avenue. That stretch of outer wall is most of what survives of the ground where Брэдфорд (Парк Авеню) played.
Football was recorded on the field in 1872, eight years before the club moved in. The stands that later gave the ground its shape were the work of Арчибальда Литча ; the football era proper began in 1907, which is why the ground's age depends on which starting point you take.
The record for a football match is 32 810 , set at a War Cup tie in 1944 in which Стэнли Мэтьюз played. Twenty-six years later, when the club was voted out of the Football League, the farewell match drew 2 563 .
What followed was slow. Part of the site was then built on as an indoor cricket centre.
Today the address at Horton Park Avenue holds indoor nets, a gym and new changing rooms. The football club plays elsewhere in Bradford, at Хорсфолл , and has done since 1996.
