It was built quickly in 2020 to house the Charleston Battery after they left MUSC Health Stadium. The original plan was to seat 900 spectators, but the expansion for the 2020 USL season pushed the capacity to 3,900. For the USL Championship Final on 12 November 2023, the temporary stand was extended further, allowing a crowd of over 5,000 to pack in for the penalty shootout against Phoenix Rising FC.
The Battery’s home strip usually blends into these blue tones, though the visitors’ end is often marked by a different colour. The venue is best known for the Eastern Conference Final on 5 November 2023, when the team defeated Louisville City FC 2–1 in front of a sold-out house.
