The ground at Patriots Point sits in the shadow of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, a concrete A-frame that dominates the skyline from the eastern edge of Mount Pleasant. Owned by the College of Charleston, the facility was completed in the autumn of 2000 and has served as the home for the Charleston Battery since their move from Blackbaud Stadium in 2020. The pitch is natural grass, cut to the standard dimensions required for professional play, surrounded by modest concrete terraces that hold roughly five thousand spectators.

The atmosphere here is defined by proximity to the water and the bridge. On match days, the wind coming off the Cooper River cuts straight across the stands, a factor that has occasionally disrupted the flow of play. During the Eastern Conference Final last November, the connection between the crowd and the team was particularly tight; 5,087 fans packed the terraces to watch the Battery take on Rhode Island FC. The match ended in a 2-1 defeat for the home side, but the turnout demonstrated the community's willingness to turn out for high-stakes football.

The stadium has also hosted the 2023 USL Championship Final in November of that year, though the visit of Phoenix Rising FC ended in a draw that went to extra time. Less glamorous, but equally significant for the local calendar, is the annual Carolina Challenge Cup. This preseason tournament has brought MLS heavyweights like Inter Miami CF and the Columbus Crew to the pitch, giving local fans a chance to see top-tier talent without travelling to the coast's larger arenas. The venue remains functional and unpretentious, a place where the game is played against the backdrop of the bridge and the sea.
