Peace Stadium

The ground sits in Saiwaimachi, a short walk from the Nagasaki Peace Park and the atomic bomb hypocentre, and takes its name from that proximity. Until 2020 the site held the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Saiwaimachi plant; the plant was demolished, and the stands went up in its place.

The pitch runs about five metres from the first row of seats — the closest such distance in Japan. The roof covers the whole bowl, with glass panels along the east side. Yasui Architects & Engineers designed it in joint venture with the Environmental Design Institute, and Takenaka Corporation built it. It is one part of Nagasaki Stadium City, which also takes in the 6,000-seat Happiness Arena, a hotel and commercial floors; the complex cost roughly 100 billion yen.

V-Varen Nagasaki moved here from Transcosmos Stadium Nagasaki in Isahaya, a ground they had used under that name since August 2016 and, before the naming rights, as Kakidomari Stadium and Nagasaki Athletic Stadium. The first match came on 6 October 2024, a pre-inauguration fixture against Oita Trinita won 4–1 in front of 19,011. The official opening followed on 14 October 2024, the night after a Masaharu Fukuyama concert on the same pitch.

The record crowd stands at 20,001, set against Vegalta Sendai on 1 December 2024 — twenty-six short of the listed capacity. The Japan women's national team played Canada here on 29 November 2025, watched by 8,634. SoftBank bought the naming rights in December 2022 on a four-year deal.
