Penshurst Park (Synthetic)
Penshurst, Australia
Penshurst Park is a functional complex where the football club St George City FA now makes its home.
The landscape changed after years of planning. There is now a synthetic sports field equipped with a hydraulic cricket wicket. It is a community asset first, a football ground second.
St George City FA moved to this venue around 2019, following spells at Peter Moore Field and Jubilee Stadium. The move coincided with the completion of the second stage of the redevelopment. Since then, the pitch has hosted NPL NSW fixtures and local derbies involving teams like Sydney Olympic and APIA Leichhardt.
The grand final of the Football St George Premier League drew an estimated 3,000 spectators to watch Dolls Point FC beat Arncliffe Aurora.
