Stadium
Poljud
Poljud opened for the 1979 Mediterranean Games, with Josip Broz Tito on hand for the ceremony.
Built to hold up to 55,000 and later pushed toward 62,000, the stadium once packed in a crowd well past 60,000 for a Hajduk clash with Dinamo Zagreb in 1982. UEFA's all-seater requirements in the 1990s cut that down to the roughly 34,000 the ground holds today.
A larger reconstruction of the roof and safety structures got under way in 2024 and continues into 2025, with capacity held at its current level through the works.
