The Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium sits in Dammam as the oldest football ground in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Inside, the pitch itself is natural grass, though the proximity to the track means the playing surface is narrower than a modern football arena.

Al-Ettifaq has played here since the stadium opened in 1973. The ground has hosted FIFA World Cup qualifiers and AFC Asian Cup matches, but it is not a venue for the 2034 World Cup, a tournament the country is now building around newer facilities. The capacity sits at 26,000, a reduction from its original 35,000. The stadium was renamed after Prince Mohamed bin Fahd, the former governor of the Eastern Province, who served until 2013. Another local club, Al-Nahda, also calls this ground home, meaning the stadium serves two teams rather than one.

The atmosphere inside is shaped by the track. Players on the wings must account for the extra distance to the sideline, and supporters in the stands watch from a slight elevation.
