Project Liv Arena
The name on the stand is not a sponsor's. Rights to it were handed over for nothing to Project Liv rf, a charity founded in 2014 by Nina Brennkarr-Friberg after her son Todd Friberg came through leukaemia; the organisation supports families with seriously ill children.
The ownership is local in the same way. The arena belongs to Jeppis Stadion Ab, and the shareholders are four clubs from the town itself — FC United, FF Jaro, Jakobstads BK and IFK Jakobstad.
What stood here before was Jakobstads Centralplan, in use by those same clubs until July 2025. Byggnads Ab Nynäs began work on 24 June 2024, and the pitch that replaced it went straight into service that summer: FC United met GBK on 24 July 2025, and FF Jaro played their first competitive match against VPS the following evening. The formal opening, with a concert, waited until 15 August.
That Jaro–VPS night remains the attendance mark — every seat and every standing place taken, 2,740 and 876 respectively. For concerts the ground takes considerably more, up to 7,000, once the pitch itself is given over to the crowd.
