Rabobank IJmond Stadion

The ground has changed its name six times, and the current one, BUKO Stadion, is only the latest sponsor to sit above the gate at Sportpark Schoonenberg. The park itself came out of the war: the municipality of Velsen laid it out as a public sports ground to replace pitches destroyed between 1940 and 1945, and it opened in the spring of 1948 under that first, plain name.

What has driven the changes since has been regulation as much as ambition. The east stand lost its terracing in 1999. Ten years later the main stand on the west side was rebuilt to a design by Zwarts & Jansma Architects, the last standing room went, and the all-seater ground that emerged held 3,625 — a smaller number than it had carried for decades.

That figure is also the attendance record. Telstar drew Ajax in the last sixteen of the KNVB Cup in December 2019, a temporary stand went up, and the ground sold out; Ajax got over the line 4–3. A UEFA Women's Champions League tie in 2009 between AZ and Brøndby brought 5,020 through the turnstiles.

The artificial pitch that served the club through its years in the Eerste Divisie was lifted in June 2025, after promotion, because the Eredivisie requires grass. The same summer brought a covered north stand of 2,000 seats and a larger away section.

Since October 2018 the stands have also been used for the Rabobank IJmond Live! concerts, with Waylon, Candy Dulfer, Edsilia Rombley and Berget Lewis among those who have played there.
