Rashid Aushev Central Stadium

Formerly: Central Stadium

It opened in 1996 as the plain Central Stadium, and it kept that name for less than a year. On 22 April 1997, Rashid Aushev, deputy interior minister of Ingushetia, was killed, and the republic renamed its ground after him.

What the arena has never had is scale.

The one real overhaul came in 2016, when 86 million roubles went into the ground ahead of the VII Festival of Culture and Sport of the Peoples of the North Caucasus, timed to have the stadium ready that August. An earlier round of repairs had already been carried out in 2013.
