Rashid Stadium is the oldest ground in Dubai, dating to a build that started in 1948 and opened for use the following year.
It sits in Al Nahda 1, in the Deira district, close to Dubai's airport. The ground is often confused with another Dubai venue, the Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, though the two are distinct.
Accounts of the playing surface vary — some describe a hybrid pitch, others a natural grass surface meeting FIFA standards — and the name itself has stayed unchanged since it first opened.
