Inside, the surface is natural parquet, the standard for professional basketball. The wood has been installed by a local firm, and the layers beneath include concrete and PVC to manage the bounce. The capacity was once smaller, sitting at 2,000, but a renovation pushed the number up to 3,140 to satisfy the requirements of the Basketball Bundesliga.
The club, SC Rasta Vechta, has never changed the name of the venue, keeping it simple and directly linked to their identity.
The arena has also hosted events outside of basketball, though those are less significant. A music festival called the Vechta Open Air took place on the grounds once, featuring local bands, and a charity event organized by the local citizens' foundation drew a smaller crowd.
