Rat Verlegh Stadion
The old ground on Beatrixstraat had run its course, and NAC Breda judged repairing it a worse bet than starting fresh, so building rose on a new site rather than a rebuilt one. Work ran through 1995 and 1996, and what opened held just over 17,000.
The name took a while to settle. It opened as FUJIFILM Stadium, became MyCom Stadium in 2003, and only in 2006 took the name it carries now, honouring Antoine "Rat" Verlegh, a player and later club president.
Growth came in stages rather than one push. A reconstruction between 2008 and 2010 lifted capacity toward 19,000, short of the 19,999 the club had aimed for. A further overhaul completed in 2025 brought new seating, lighting and general infrastructure, pushing the total to 20,500.
The pitch itself is a hybrid surface, 98% natural grass reinforced with 2% synthetic fibre woven in through the Desso GrassMaster system.
