The pitch on Maslennikova Street has been serving Irtysh since before most of the club's supporters were born, and the arena has spent the past two decades shrinking rather than growing. Red Star opened on 12 May 1966, and the debut match drew more spectators than the stands could formally hold as Irtysh beat Frunze's Alga 2:1. Original capacity ran to 18,000. That figure has no bearing on today's ground: in 2006 the floodlight masts and the entire north stand came down, while the east stand was condemned as unsafe. What's left seats 4,655.

The drainage and pitch surface were redone in 2008, and the west stands got their own refit in 2019–2020, fitted out with 1,200 seats transferred over from Arena Omsk. Ownership passed from the city to the Omsk region in 2022, and officials have floated a full rebuild costing 10 billion roubles, though no investor has stepped forward and the plan remains on paper.

Alongside the open natural-grass pitch, Red Star keeps a covered hall with an artificial surface, holding around 3,000; that indoor turf was last replaced in 2016. The stadium's public life has stretched beyond league football: in June 2018 it operated as a fan zone for World Cup broadcasts, including the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia, and it screened the 2019 Gagarin Cup final as well.
