Rostec Arena
The name was settled by a public vote in May 2015, when Rostov Arena finished ahead of Don-Arena and Ataman-Arena. Commercial naming rights were never sold.
The arena stands in the Kirovsky district, on Levoberezhnaya Street, and was built for the 2018 World Cup, with Crocus Group as developer and general contractor. A test match followed on 15 April, Rostov against SKA-Khabarovsk, before the official opening on 13 May against Ural.
The pitch is the part worth dwelling on.
