Sahand Stadium
The name on the concrete gates still says Sahand, though Tehran's football federation has called it Yadegar-e Emam for years. It went up in 1996 to give Tractor Sazi FC a home away from the cramped Bagh-e Shomal ground, and the club has not moved since.
The pitch tells its own story of delay. Capacity has moved the other way — the ground once held over 80,000 for a Tractor Sazi match against Naft Tehran in 2015, before renovation work settled the official figure closer to the mid-60,000s.
The reconstruction itself came in stages rather than one clean rebuild: new seating and a jumbotron went in around 2005-06, forcing Tractor Sazi to play elsewhere for a spell. What the stadium has hosted since reflects its size more than its polish — a friendly between Iran and Kenya in 1997, AFC Champions League football against Al-Nasr of the UAE in 2016. There is no record of concerts or non-sporting events here; this remains, plainly, a football ground built for one tenant.
