The Halle Georges Carpentier does not pretend to be a shrine. It is a building on 81 boulevard Masséna in the 13th arrondissement.

The ground itself is a parquet floor, typical for the indoor sports that fill its schedule. It was renamed that year in honour of the French boxer Georges Carpentier (1894–1975), and a statue of him stands in the lobby.

The venue is currently the home for Paris Basketball in the Eurocup and the French Betclic Elite league. It is managed by the City of Paris and does not have a dedicated official website, relying instead on the city portal for information.
