Salters Lane
Faversham, United Kingdom
Formerly: Shepherd Neame Stadium
Salters Lane does not announce itself much.
Faversham Town moved here in 1948 after reforming in the war years. The brewery sponsorship gave it the name Shepherd Neame Stadium, and later the Aquatherm Stadium tag followed.
The surface is artificial turf. The ball does not stick or die in the mud here. It moves straight. The stands hold about two thousand, though the league card says two and a half.
Salters Lane is quiet until matchday. The club hosts the annual Faversham Beer Festival here when the season is paused. Faversham reached the FA Trophy First Round in 2021–22 and the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round in 2016–17. The ground has been there for those days, whether it remembers them or not.
The rest is open to the weather.
