Kiryat Haim sits at the northern end of Haifa.

That predecessor was Kiryat Eliezer, home to Maccabi Haifa from 1955 and to Hapoel Haifa from 1991. It closed in 2014 and was demolished the following year. The first official match here, on 27 August 2014, was a friendly: Hapoel Haifa beat Hapoel Acre 2–0.

The design came from KSS Group with Mansfeld-Kehat Architects.

The attendance record — 30,464 — was set on 2 November 2022, when Maccabi Haifa lost 1–6 to Benfica in the UEFA Champions League. Three weeks earlier, in the same group, they had beaten Juventus 2–0 on this pitch. The Israel national team first played here on 16 November 2014, a 3–0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina watched by 28,300.

Since December 2024 the ground floor has housed the Maccabi Haifa Museum.
