Sân vận động Việt Trì The ground remains a multi-purpose venue.

Since that overhaul the stadium has hosted matches for the Vietnam national team. It was a venue for the group stage of the men's football tournament at SEA Games 31, held in 2022, and later hosted legs of the 2024 ASEAN Championship, including a semi-final against Singapore and the first leg of the final against Thailand. The stadium is also used by Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ FC, a local side, and by younger national teams for qualifiers and tournaments.

There are plans to expand the capacity to 30,000 or 35,000 seats, but for now the ground serves its purpose.
