Seattle Field
Seattle, United States
Formerly: Seahawks Stadium, Qwest Field, CenturyLink Field
Lumen Field sits on the edge of Seattle. The structure was built in 2002 to replace the Kingdome. It has lived through three name changes — Seahawks Stadium, then Qwest Field, then CenturyLink Field — before settling on Lumen Field in 2020.
The ground is divided by its purpose. The main bowl holds nearly 70,000 for American football, but for OL Reign it is configured for roughly 10,000. The pitch is covered in the FieldTurf CORE system, installed in 2024 to replace the original surface. The 2022–2024 "Fanovation" brought new video boards and a Tunnel Club, but the original concrete shell remains.
The atmosphere shifted in 2013 when the crowd roar reached 120 decibels, a record for an outdoor stadium that still holds. The line has barely moved since then. The venue hosted the 2009 and 2019 MLS Cups, with the latter setting the previous attendance mark of 69,274. That record fell in August 2025, when the Sounders played Inter Miami in the Leagues Cup before a sell-out crowd of 69,314.
The stadium is preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where it will be known as Seattle Stadium. The address is 800 Occidental Avenue South, but the location matters more than the number.
