Segiri Stadium
Samarinda, Indonesia
The roof of Segiri Stadium cuts a jagged line against the sky, a series of dark peaks rising behind a wall of textured material that would not look out of place in a traditional longhouse. This was not always the case. Before the redevelopment finished in 2023, the ground looked entirely different, but the new facade has become its defining feature.
Inside, the pitch is natural grass, a standard requirement for the Indonesian top flight, but the layout feels tighter than the old days.
Borneo FC took over the ground in 2014 and have not looked back. The recent renovation did more than just change the exterior; it shifted the rhythm of the matches played here.
