SH Folimanka
Prague, Czechia
Formerly: Slavia VŠ Praha
The hall sits on the boundary between Nusle and Vinohrady. It was designed by an architect who played in the 1948 London Olympics. The structure is an inverted pyramid of steel and dark materials.
Inside, the space is defined by a wooden parquet floor.
The venue was originally built for Slavia VŠ Praha, the club that would eventually become USK Praha. The capacity is listed as 1,300, though some older records suggest 1,200. The orange owl logo above the entrance, painted by Karel Pekárek, is the only splash of colour in a building dominated by grey and black.
A major reconstruction took place in 2007, adding 30 million CZK in value to the structure.
