Sitterstadion (Kybunpark)

Three sponsors have put their name on this ground since it replaced the old Espenmoos stadium in 2008, and the latest change came not from a corporate deal but from a fan vote: supporters chose the name Berit Sitterstadion, after the Berit Klinik, in November 2025, with the change taking effect on 1 July 2026. Before that it was Kybunpark for a decade, and before that the AFG Arena.

The pitch sets it apart from a plain grass ground. It is a hybrid surface, FiberElastic, weaving synthetic fibres through the natural turf and sitting over a heating system, installed for the 2017/18 season in place of the earlier Lavaterr system.

The stadium was built as part of a wider commercial development in the Winkeln district, a stadium-and-shopping-centre project that cost around CHF 340 million in total, with roughly CHF 69.2 million of that going into the arena itself.

FC St. Gallen have set their home attendance record here twice against FC Zürich, 20,029 on both occasions, in December 2023 and again in May 2024. The ground also hosted matches of the Women's Euro 2025, with Germany, France, England and Poland all playing there, and has drawn bigger crowds still on standing terraces for concerts — Die Toten Hosen's first big show there in 2013, Elton John in 2014, and a Foo Fighters date in 2015 that was cancelled after Dave Grohl's injury.
